The Akron Board of Education approved the plan for buildings to be included in Segment 3 construction. See the Facilities Master Plan by segment or by cluster.
Two new community learning centers opened in the fall of 2007: Helen E. Arnold, located at 450 V. Odom Blvd., and David Hill, located at 1060 E. Archwood Ave. Voris, located at 1885 Glenmount Ave., opened in January 2007. Jennings (227 E. Tallmadge Ave.), Betty Jane (444 Darrow Road) and Mason (700 E. Exchange St.) opened early in 2008.
Forest Hill was dedicated at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26; Robinson at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 4; and Sam Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 18. Glover was dedicated on Thursday, February 26, 2009, at 5 p.m.
